How does this medicine work
Bleomycin is a clear liquid that is usually injected into a vein. It works as follows:-
Bleomycin is a medication that damages DNA by creating a complex with a metal ion like copper or iron. This complex then breaks the DNA strands, which prevents cells from making new DNA. As a result, cells can't grow or divide properly. Bleomycin mainly affects cells in certain phases of the cell cycle: G phase, M phase, and S phase. Additionally, it also interferes with the synthesis of RNA and proteins, although to a lesser extent compared to its effects on DNA.
